Teachers:

Jenna Michael

Jenna studied violin under the direction of Dr. Gregory Maytan and Megan Crawford at Grand Valley State University where she served as concertmaster of the GVSU Symphony orchestra during her junior and senior years of study. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music with a minor in Philosophy in 2017. Jenna is deeply inspired by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki’s teachings and strives to build a better community using music. She teaches violin students to become sensitive, hardworking members of society through the teachings of the Suzuki Method. Jenna works full time teaching private violin lessons, group violin classes, and working as the administrator for Quattro Voce Strings.

Jamie Listh

Jamie Listh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Alma College (class of 2014). Known largely as a violist and private strings teacher near Cedar Springs, she began her study of music on piano and violin at the age of 10. Though proclaiming early on that she would never be cut out to teach, in recent years she has found enormous joy in teaching strings and maintains a small private lesson studio. Jamie has long enjoyed and appreciated the versatility of string instruments and the mix of ensembles and friendships open to her as a result. When not teaching, she exercises her administrative talents for a couple of area churches and plays a healthy variety of gigs throughout the Grand Rapids area including weddings, the occasional symphony or chamber music concert and piano accompaniment for worship and student soloists.
